Utterson Resident Charged With Impaired While Leaving Child In The Vehicle

The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a driver with impaired driving after responding to concern from a member of the public.

On Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., Bracebridge OPP officers responded to a concern from a member of the public about the condition of a woman in a parking lot on Depot Drive in Bracebridge, as they were worried about her driving.

Officers attended and located the woman, who had left the involved vehicle behind, inside of which was an infant child. Police subsequently arrested and charged 35-year-old Kimberly Elliott of Utterson, ON with the following:

  • Operation while impaired
  • Over 80
  • Operation while prohibited
  • Fail to Provide the Necessaries of Life- Child

She will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on August 4, 2026 to answer to her charges.
