On Saturday February 10, the Township of Tiny hosted the annual Winter Carnaval d’Hiver at Perkinsfield Park from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Over 400 guests enjoyed the day filled with fun winter activities.
The Winter Carnaval d’Hiver had something for everyone in the community to enjoy. Attendees were treated to a variety of activities including the mobile snow tubing hill provided by Snow Valley, the Tiny Township Lions Club mini stick arena, carnival games, and a fire performance by Bex in Motion.
A free pancake lunch was generously donated by Phil’s Catering and Event Rentals topped with Maple Syrup from Windlee Farms. Guests could also warm up with hot chocolate, apple cider, or with s’mores and Bannock roasted on the fire.
Family and youth activities were provided by the Midland Public Library, Springwater Public Library, Wye Marsh, Severn Sound Environmental Association, Awenda Provincial Park, and Friends of Awenda.
“One of the best parts of winter here in Tiny has to be the Winter Carnaval d’Hiver,” said Mayor Evans. “This event is packed with activities for the whole family that embrace the winter season and includes a free pancake lunch with local maple syrup. I’d like to extend a special thank you to all of our sponsors, partners, volunteers, and staff for putting on such a memorable event”.
