For any Ontarians contemplating a trip to the cottage or other dwellings for family gatherings over the Easter Long Weekend, the OPP are reminding people to practice physical distancing and stay home.
With roads now bare and warmer temperatures in store, drivers who do need to travel are being cautioned to not let the nicer weather negatively influence their driving behaviour and to obey all traffic laws.
Note: Rumours of the OPP stopping vehicles to ask where they are going are false.
They should just shutdown all highways except for essentials…semi-trucks…service people.
Don’t be so stupid. You want a police state.
We don’t need them here putting a strain on our resources at this time.
They’ve been asked politely to stay home. Time for stricter rules.
Ok for you using their tax dollars for the benefit of the people that live year round. They have every right to be at their place even if it is a cottage. There is far less chance of they giving or catching the virus in the north country. If it was your family would you not want this. Even the mayor of Lindsay said they are welcome here. Get off your high horse.
