OPP Continue To Search For Missing Swimmer On The Muskoka River

Search to Resume in Morning

Bracebridge OPP are currently investigating a suspected drowning on the Muskoka River in Bracebridge.

Due to visibility and safety concerns the search has been suspended and will resume in the morning.

On Saturday, July 3, 2021, shortly after 7 p.m., officers from the Bracebridge OPP, along with Bracebridge Fire and Muskoka Paramedic Services responded to a swimmer in distress on the south branch of the Muskoka River off Golden Beach Road. Police say the 18-year-old male did not resurface and search efforts are underway.
