No One Hurt After Delivery Truck Strikes Building In Penetanguishene

A business and two apartments have been evacuated after a truck rolled into an historic building at the main intersection in Penetanguishene.

On January 27, 2022 at about 9:45 a.m., Southern Georgian Bay OPP and the Penetanguishene Fire Department responded to a collision at Main Street and Robert Street in Penetanguishene.

The business on the main floor and the two apartments above were evacuated for the safety of the occupants.

The truck rolled from a convenience store parking lot across the street, it struck a vehicle at the intersection and then the building, causing major damage however no injuries have been reported.

OPP Central Region Technical Traffic Investigation (TTCI) Unit are on scene to determine the cause of the collision. No charges have been laid at this time.
