The City of Orillia will welcome Her Honour the Hon. Edith Dumont, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, during an official visit to the City of Orillia on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2024.
During her official visit to the Sunshine City, Her Honour will take the opportunity to meet with Mayor Don McIsaac, Chief Ted Williams of the Chippewas of Rama First Nation, local dignitaries and groups, and share in the excitement of the Orillia 2024 Ontario 55+ Winter Games.
“We look forward to hosting the Lieutenant Governor and we are very pleased that Her Honour will be visiting Orillia,” said Mayor Don McIsaac. “This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the true spirit of our community and our beautiful city.”
Members of the public are invited to a reception taking place at 3:45 p.m. in the multi-purpose room at the Orillia Recreation Centre, when Her Honour will deliver brief remarks and meet with local dignitaries and members of the community.
