Killaloe OPP Investigate Collisions Involving Deer

The Killaloe OPP attended two car-deer collisions last week that resulted in damaged guard rails.

On November 8, 2022, just before 5:30 a.m., police responded to a single vehicle collision involving a pickup truck on 60 Highway, in the Township of Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards. The 31-year-old driver from Bancroft swerved to avoid a deer and struck several guard rails. The vehicle was towed. There were no reported injuries.

On November 10, 2022, just before 2 p.m., police responded to a single vehicle collision involving a passenger car on Combermere Road, in the Township of Madawaska Valley. The 33-year-old driver from Barry’s Bay, swerved to avoid a deer and struck several guard rails. The vehicle was towed. Minor injuries were reported.

Renfrew County Roads and the Ministry of Transportation were notified about the damaged guard rails.
