The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged four more drivers with impaired driving over the course of the weekend.
During the very early morning hours of Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 12:15 a.m., Bracebridge OPP officers responded to a concern from a member of the public about the condition of a driver on Rainbow Lane in Bracebridge. Officers arrived and intercepted the vehicle and began an investigation into the circumstances. Police have arrested and charged 34-year-old Michelle HOLLINGSHEAD, of Bracebridge, ON, with:
- Operation while Impaired
- Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand
- Resist Peace Officer
- Assault Peace Officer X 2
- Mischief Over $5000
She will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on November 23, 2026 to answer to her charges.
On Friday, October 16, 2026 at 8:40 p.m., Bracebridge OPP officers responded to a concern from a member of the public about the condition of a driver in a commercial parking lot on Muskoka Road 118 in Bracebridge. Officers located the vehicle and subsequently arrested and charged 36-year-old Mosses JOHNSON of Sudbury, ON with Operation while Impaired- Drug. He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on November 24, 2026 to answer to his charge.
On Friday, October 16, 2026, at 11:40 p.m., a Bracebridge OPP officer was conducting proactive patrols in Bracebridge and conducted a traffic stop on Muskoka Road 118 near Pearcey Road. Police subsequently arrested and charged 40-year-old Brett BEAUCOCK of Fonthill, ON with Operation while Impaired and Over 80. He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on November 24, 2026 to answer to his charges.
On Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 11:00 p.m., Bracebridge OPP officers were conducting a RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) program on Ecclestone Drive at Robert Dollar Drive in Bracebridge. After an interaction with one driver, police subsequently arrested and charged 31-year-old Christopher EDWARDS of Little Britain, ON with Operation while Impaired, Over 80 and Having care or control of a motor vehicle with liquor readily available. He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on November 24, 2026 to answer to his charges.
