The Town of Bracebridge has declared a significant weather event due to the ongoing impacts of the winter storm. Due to the accumulation of ice and snow, and changing road conditions, residents and visitors are advised to stay off the roads and limit outings to essential travel only. Public Works crews will continue to monitor the situation and perform winter maintenance operations on all roads and sidewalks. Additional time may be required to achieve standard maintenance levels during this time.
The District of Muskoka has also declared a significant weather event effective December 23 which pertains to all District roads.
Facility Closures
The Bracebridge Sportsplex and Memorial Arena will be closed on Saturday, December 24 for the safety of patrons and staff. All community groups and private rentals have been contacted. Both facilities will re-open during regular hours of operation on Tuesday, December 27. Residents are reminded that due to the holidays, hours of operation for Town services and facilities will vary.
Bracebridge Transit
Bracebridge Transit and Bracebridge Mobility will not operate on Saturday, December 24. Operations will resume on Wednesday, December 28 at 7:30 am. For details visit bracebridgetransit.ca.
