OPP Investigating Overnight Home Invasion In Port McNicoll

An early morning 911 report of a home invasion to the OPP Communication Centre from a Second Avenue Village of Port McNicoll, Tay Township residence at approximately 2:03 a.m. November 4, 2024 resulted in a number of members from the Southern Georgian Bay OPP Detachment to respond to the area.

Attending officers found the residents of the home unhurt and officers from the OPP’s Emergency Response Team (ERT), Tactics and Rescue (TRU), Canine Unit (K-9) attended the scene to support uniform officers in the search for the unknown suspects(s).

This investigation is ongoing and is being led by members of the OPP Major Crime Unit attached to the Southern Georgian Bay OPP Detachment with support from the OPP Forensic Identification Unit (FIS).
