Ontario Lifesaving Society’s Swim to Survive Award
The Town’s Recreation Department are proud recipients of the Lifesaving Society’s Swim to Survive® Award which is presented to municipalities and schoolboards who provide Swim to Survive training to 80% or more of their target populations. In 2023, the Aquatics team, in partnership with Trillium Lakelands District School Board, the Town of Huntsville, and the City of Kawartha lakes, successfully provided this essential training to 90% of grade three students. The Swim to Survive School Grant Program is generously funded by the Ontario Ministry of Education and Lifesaving Society Ontario.
Muskokan Readers Choice Award
The Bracebridge Sportsplex has been awarded for the best recreation facility and best swimming instruction in Muskoka. The team at the Sportsplex are dedicated to serving the community and providing the highest levels of customer service. The annual Muskokan Readers Choice Award recognizes the businesses, people, and service providers who make communities great, and it is an honour to be recognized.
