$115,000 Of Drugs Found After Collision On Hwy. 69

On June 1, 2021, at 2:15 p.m.,  first responders received a call for a collision, involving an automobile and a commercial vehicle, on Highway 69 in Archipelago Township. The driver and passenger of the automobile were transported by ambulance to a local hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the commercial motor vehicle was not injured.

During the investigation police seized approximately $115,000 of drugs.

As a result of further investigation the driver, Sean Hawco, 43 years-of-age of Etobicoke, Ontario was arrested and charged with:

  • Operation while prohibited (seven counts)
  •  Dangerous operation
  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – other drugs
  • Drive while under suspension

The passenger, Cody Dunn, 25 years-of-age of Sables – Spanish River Township, Ontario was also arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – other drugs,

Both accused remain in custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound.
