Police have laid impaired charges on a driver after receiving a call for assistance.
On May 15, 2023, just before 9:30 a.m., members of the Killaloe OPP responded to a report of a vehicle with an unconscious person inside, on McMaster Road in the Township of Bonnechere Valley.
Officers attended the scene, and the driver was transported to the detachment for further testing. As a result of the investigation, 35-year-old Christopher Simpson of Bancroft was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Impaired operation by drug; and,
- Failing to Comply with Probation Order
The accused was released, and is scheduled to appear in court on June 14, 2023, Ontario Court of Justice, Killaloe. The accused’s driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days.
