OPP in Orillia have arrested two people following a traffic stop in the City of Orillia.
On June 27, 2022, shortly after 11:50 p.m. police conducted a traffic stop on West St South. Upon stopping the vehicle officers arrested two occupants of the vehicle. During the search of the individuals, police located a prohibited knife, approximately 60 grams of fentanyl, over 12 grams of cocaine and a large quantity of cash. One individual was also found to be breaching release conditions from previous charges.
As a result, Police have charged the following individuals:
Yusef Yusef (Age 20), of Toronto ON, with the following:
- Possession of Proceeds of property obtained by Crime- Under $5000
- Fail to Comply with Release Order (3 Counts)
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking- Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance- Cocaine
The accused was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie, Ontario.
Tyrell Sooklall (Age 20), of Clarington ON, with the following:
- Possession of Prohibited Device
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime- Under $5000
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking- opioid (other than Heroin)
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance- Opioid (other than Heroin)
The accused was released on an Undertaking and will appear on August 16, 2022, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia, Ontario.
