The OPP has charged three individuals with drug related offences after two search warrants were executed at two separate residences in the Village of Sundridge.
On Tuesday March 5, 2024, the Almaguin Highlands OPP’s Street Crime Unit (CSCU) detachment members, Canine Unit and Emergency Response Team (ERT) arrested four individuals and located over 100 grams of suspected cocaine, over 1000 tabs of suspected amphetamines, over 140 suspected Percocet, and approximately $5,200 dollars in Canadian currency. The street value for the drugs seized was approximately $17,000. Police also located and seized an imitation firearm, shot gun, .22 riffle and ammunition.
As a result of the investigation, three people were arrested and charged.
Gregory Hall, 38-years-old of Sundridge was charged with the following:
· Possession of imitation weapon for dangerous purpose
· Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
· Unauthorized possession of a firearm (two counts)
· Possession of schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
· Possession of schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Other drugs (amphetamine)
· Possession of schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking -Opioid (other than heroin)
· Possession property obtained by crime under $5000
James Gravelle, 34-years-old of Sundridge was charged with the following:
· Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine (two counts)
· possession property obtained by crime under $5000
Sara Saunders, 28-year-old of Sundridge was charged with the following:
· Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine (two counts)
· possession property obtained by crime under $5000
The accused persons remain in custody pending a bail hearing.
