RVH Vice President Named Regional Vice President, Cancer Services, Ontario Health

Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) officially announces Dana Naylor has accepted the role of Regional Vice President, Cancer Services, Ontario Health (Cancer Care Ontario) for the Simcoe Muskoka Regional Cancer Program, effective today.

Naylor also serves as RVH’s Vice President, Clinical where she provides leadership in Patient Flow, Regional Cancer Program, Mental Health & Addictions, Medical Imaging, Pathology and Laboratory Services, Renal and Cardiac Programs.

“A healthcare leader with more than 20 years of executive level experience, Dana is passionate about quality patient care and improving the health system,” says Gail Hunt, RVH President and CEO. “She is a well-respected visionary with a deep commitment to her community and to growing effective partnerships within the region and beyond. These are traits she will most definitely bring to her new role with Ontario Health. We look forward to seeing her impact on improving cancer care in this region.”

Naylor’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Laurentian University, Sudbury, a Master of Nursing from the University of Toronto, and an EXTRA Fellowship from the Canadian Foundation for Healthcare Improvement. In addition, Dana is currently enrolled in the Advanced Health Leadership Program from the University of Toronto, Rotman School of Management Executive Program.

“I truly consider it an honour to take on this new role at this pivotal moment when we have the opportunity to shape the future and transform the landscape of healthcare in this region,” says Dana Naylor. “Exciting times are ahead for the people of this region as we bring new technology, programs, and healthcare services to RVH. Having just received a $10-million pledge from David and Catherine Hudson, we will be able to expand our cancer program to revolutionize cancer care, right here at home. In addition, we are proceeding with our plans to double the size of the Barrie Campus and build a new Innisfil Campus – a project which will benefit all the residents of Simcoe Muskoka.”
