Several Charges Laid After Male And Female Refused To Leave Residence

The Orillia OPP have arrested 28-year-old female and 15-year-old male after refusing to leave an address in Orillia.

On March 30, 2023, shortly before 12:30 p.m. police were dispatched to a call for an unwanted person at a residence on West St. North in Orillia. Upon police arrival, two individual who refused to leave the residence were placed under arrest for Unlawfully in a Dwelling House. Upon further investigation police learned that the female suspect was wanted on warrant and the 15-year-old male was in possession of drugs and large amounts of Canadian currency.

A 15-year-old young person, who’s identity is protected under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. has been charged with;

·       YPC Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

·       YPC Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Opioid (other than heroin)

·       YPC Poss of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $ 5000 – in Canada

·       YPC Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose

·       YPC Unlawfully in Dwelling House

Katie Lee Brittain, 28 years of age, of Orillia has been charged with;

·       Adult Fail to Comply with Probation X 2

·       Adult Unlawfully in Dwelling House

·       Adult Possessing Counterfeit Money – have in custody

·       Adult Poss of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 – in Canada

·       Adult Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose

·       Adult Failure to attend court after having appeared

·       Adult Poss of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order

·       Adult Poss of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

·       Adult Poss of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Opioid (other than heroin)

Both accused parties were held for a Bail hearing.
