Seguin Resident Charged With Impaired After Collision On Hwy. 518

The West Parry Sound OPP have arrested and charged one person with impaired driving.

On March 3, 2024, shortly after 10 p.m. members of the West Parry Sound OPP came upon a collision on Highway 518 in the Township of Seguin. Both the driver and passenger were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

As a result of the investigation, Lauren Madden, 36 years-of-age of Seguin Ontario was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – causing bodily harm
  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle – causing bodily harm
  • Driving while under suspension
  • Drive motor vehicle – perform stunt – excessive speed
  • Fail to comply with probation order – two counts

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on April 18, 2024. The accused was also issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
