On June 27, 2022 the West Parry Sound OPP along with the Crime Unit, North East Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), OPP Canine Unit, and Parry Sound Emergency Medical Services (EMS), investigated an assault incident on James Street in Parry Sound.
Police said that at 1 a.m. they received a call to a home after a victim was assaulted with a weapon. The victim was transported to hospital by EMS with non-life threating injuries.
The accused, Gregory Marshall-Jackson, 28 years- of-age of Parry Sound was arrested and charged wit Attempt to commit murder and Aggravated assault.
The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to re-appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, Parry Sound on July 13, 2022.
