The Southern Georgian Bay OPP have released the name of the resident who was killed in a Downtown Midland fire on April 8.
The victim of the fire at 475 Dominion Avenue in Midland has been identified as Susan Pedwell, 51 years, of Midland. She had been located at 9:18 a.m. by firefighters on the second floor of the building and was triaged and transported by County of Simcoe Paramedic Services to an area hospital. Sadly, she was pronounced deceased by medical staff shortly after arrival.
The Office of the Ontario Fire Marshall continues to investigate the cause of the fire.
