Members of the Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were contacted at approximately 6:08 am on the morning of January 20, 2026, regarding a structure fire in the Township of Oro-Medonte.
The Orillia OPP and Oro-Medonte Fire were dispatched to a residence in the Township of Oro-Medonte for a structure fire. Upon arrival the structure was fully engulfed by flames. No injuries have been reported. The Orillia OPP Major Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Services (FIS) have been notified and are currently investigating.
