Occupants And Pets Escape Tuesday Night House Fire In Huntsville

All occupants and pets were safely evacuated after a house fire broke out Tuesday evening on Thomas Crescent, according to Huntsville Fire Chief Gary Monahan.

The Huntsville/Lake of Bays fire department, with crews from stations one and five, responded with eight trucks to a report of a kitchen fire at 8:36 p.m. The fire department told Muskoka411 that crews were able to quickly suppress the fire that had extended into the attic, said Monahan in an email to Muskoka411.

Huntsville OPP assisted the homeowners and pets to relocate at a nearby motel. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and there is no word on a damage estimate.

This is a developing story, and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
