This past Saturday, Aug. 10, Northern Pass to Conquer Cancer, benefitting The Princess Margaret, raised a record-breaking $1.5 million for cancer research. In its 8th year, a dedicated community of 450+ cyclists, survivors, supporters and donors came together for Muskoka’s premier cycling fundraiser and set a new fundraising record.

Cancer is the leading cause of death in Canada. With two in five Canadians expected to develop cancer in their lifetime, and rates continuing to rise, the time to move cancer research forward is now. The funds raised at Northern Pass drive breakthrough cancer research, lead to life-saving advancements in early detection and help develop cutting-edge treatment options.

On a sunny, summer day, this small and mighty peloton of riders found their way through 40km – 160km routes in scenic cottage country, enjoying all the sights and sounds of the North from cycling on the Muskoka Airport tarmac, enjoying live music at the Muskoka Brewery pitstop, and taking in the refreshing falls at Port Sydney Dam. Thank you to the Muskoka community for their continued support and we look forward to next year’s event!
