The Muskoka Lawn Bowling Club is excited to introduce “Ball Knocker”; a new, light-hearted croquet program offered to the public during the summer of 2024 at their facility in Bracebridge.
The public is invited to come and see what the fun is all about. $20 per person includes all equipment, and a mini-lesson on “golf croquet” to get you started. You can play Ball Knocker once, twice, or sign up for all the available time slots. You do not have to be a club member to participate.
“Ball Knocker is perfect for a couple, a group of friends, birthday party or other celebration, a social club outing, a regular league, a family activity, or as an opportunity to try this sport that is relatively new to Bracebridge”, stated Sally Mills, Croquet Coordinator at the Muskoka Lawn Bowling Club. “The goal is to start playing quickly, and to discover how much fun croquet is. All that is required is a pair of flat-soled shoes, so bring a few friends, and come and see what golf croquet is all about.”
“Professional croquet is quite different from what we played in the back yard as children,” explained Mills. “Golf croquet is an easily-learned game that is played all over the world. Most games are casual, but for those seeking more of a challenge, there are competitions available with highly skilled club members.”
The croquet courts are located at the Muskoka Lawn Bowling (& Croquet) Club on the grounds of the Muskoka Highlands Golf Course in Bracebridge.
