Help Shape The Future Of Mentoring In Muskoka: Big Brothers Big Sisters Seeks Community Input

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orillia & District is inviting the Muskoka community to share their experiences, concerns, and ideas through a community needs assessment survey, open until October 28, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.

Following the closure of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Muskoka in 2024, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orillia & District has been working toward reintroducing mentoring programs and supports for children and youth across the region. Hearing directly from the community is an important part of this process.

The assessment will help the agency better understand the challenges facing local children, youth, and families, identify gaps in existing programs and services, and determine how mentoring programs can best respond to local needs.

Big Brothers Big Sisters connects young people with caring mentors. Community feedback will help guide how these supports are reintroduced in Muskoka and inform future program planning to align with local needs.

You don’t need past experience with BBBS to complete the survey; we are looking for folks who live, work, or have a vested interest in the Muskoka community.

The survey takes approximately 10–15 minutes to complete. Responses will remain anonymous and will help inform a public needs assessment report, program planning, and future community supports.
