A failed culvert on Muskoka Road 169, approximately 1 km from Medora Lake Road, is requiring a full closure of Muskoka Road 169 in both directions for 5 days during the week of Monday, May 29th,2023.
- Road closure starts: Monday, May 29th, 2023, 7:00 a.m.
- Road reopening: Friday, June 2nd, 2023, 7:00 p.m.

Motorists are advised that a significant detour is in effect – the District is encouraging residents to plan to avoid inconvenience and further disruption while this work is underway. Signage will be installed to remind motorists that the closure is planned and guide them around the closure. The following detour will be in effect:
- Southbound traffic: Continue South on Muskoka Road 169 to Muskoka Road 38. Merge onto Highway 400 north and continue, exit onto 189 Lake Joseph Road. Continue onto Lake Joseph Road and turn right onto Muskoka Road 169.
- Northbound traffic: When arriving at the intersection between Highway 118 and Muskoka Road 169, continue right onto Muskoka Road 169. Turn left on Lake Joseph Road. Merge onto Highway 400 south and then take exit 177 (Muskoka Road 38). Follow Muskoka Road 38 and exit back onto Muskoka Road 169
