Fire In Torrance This Morning Considered Suspicious, OPP Say

The Muskoka Crime Unit and Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fire that occurred in Muskoka Lakes Township today.

At 8:45 a.m. on March 24, 2025, Bracebridge OPP officers, along with Muskoka Lakes Fire Department and Muskoka Paramedic Services, responded to an emergency call from a resident Elizabeth Street in Torrance indicating that their neighbours residence was on fire, and it quickly became fully engulfed in flames. The caller attempted to ascertain if there was anyone inside and emergency responders were soon able to confirm that there were no people or pets inside the home at the time.

Police are considering this fire to be suspicious, and the Muskoka Crime Unit is continuing the investigation.
