The Muskoka Community Street Crime Unit has charged two individuals after a drug trafficking investigation.
During the summer of 2026, Muskoka Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) investigators commenced an investigation into suspected drug trafficking activity occurring at a Bethune Drive apartment complex in Gravenhurst, ON.
On July 10th, 2026, Muskoka CSCU executed 3 search warrants at the apartment complex, located on Bethune Drive South in Gravenhurst, with the assistance of the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), Emergency Response Team (ERT), K9 Unit, Southern Georgian Bay CSCU, Orillia CSCU, and Bracebridge Detachment members.
As a result of the investigation, 38-year-old Chantelle CONWAY-PENROSE of Gravenhurst was charged with Possession of a Schedule I Substance (cocaine) for the purpose of trafficking. Police have also charged 26-year-old Shaquore TAYLOR of Etobicoke, ON, with Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000.
Both accused parties are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on August 25, 2026 to answer to their charges.
