Local home builders, Devonleigh Homes generously made a donation of $100,000 supporting Huntsville Hospital Foundation’s Focus On Imaging Campaign. With this donation, Devonleigh Homes joins more than 50 local businesses who are part of the Huntsville Hospital Foundation’s Business Cares program.

Devonleigh Homes started building the Woodstream community in Huntsville early in 2020 and the family-owned business made it a priority to invest in the local hospital.

“With a young family, we understand the need of a community hospital. You never know when you or a family member may need it, which is why we wanted to make a donation supporting Huntsville Hospital Foundation’s Focus On Imaging campaign,” says Lisa Kidd, Co-Owner, Devonleigh Homes. “We’re happy to support the community where our customers and friends live and visit,” adds Kidd.

The donation from Devonleigh Homes helped purchase new state of the art x-ray technology through the Foundation’s Focus On Imaging campaign. Annually, Huntsville Hospital provides more than 42,000 imaging tests, which includes x-rays images. The new x-ray technology provides physicians with clearer, more detailed images and less radiation exposure for patients.

It is a pivotal time for Huntsville Hospital Foundation. In 2022 the Ontario Government announced the approval for operational funding for Muskoka’s first ever MRI. With this news, the Foundation increased its Focus On Imaging campaign goal to $10 million. Through the generosity of businesses like Devonleigh Homes, diagnostic technology and equipment will be upgraded at Huntsville Hospital.

“Thank you Lisa and Andrew Kidd and the entire family at Devonleigh Homes for your campaign gift,” says Katherine Craine, CEO of Huntsville Hospital Foundation. “Your donation supporting new x-ray technology will provide quality, high resolution images and has enhanced features that will improve patient care, here,” adds Craine.
