ART CRAWL Call for Participation

The Huntsville Festival of the Arts (HfA) is pleased to invite the participation of local artists and businesses in the 2ndannual Huntsville ART CRAWL running from June 1 to 30, 2022.

The Huntsville ART CRAWL is a FREE self-guided art tour in and around downtown Huntsville, Muskoka. Visitors will be able to create their own ART CRAWL experience by touring local businesses, galleries and studios, which will feature exhibits, demos and interactive experiences by local artists. Artwork will be available for participants to purchase during the event. Proceeds will go to participating artists, with a portion of sales directly supporting the business the art is featured in.

“Despite all the challenges due to COVID and downtown construction, last year’s event was a great success,” says Dan Watson, Executive Director. “The Crawl welcomed 1,680 visitors and included 36 artists and 26 businesses. All totalled, it generated $10,575 in sales, which directly benefitted the participating local artists, businesses and organizations.”

HfA is inviting artists and businesses to participate in the 2nd edition which will run from June 1 to 30. There is no fee for participation, and benefits include increased profile, sales, visitation, and the opportunity to contribute to a creative and vibrant community. Those interested in applying can find out more by visiting huntsvilleartcrawl.ca or call 705-788-2787. The deadline for applications is April 29.

The CRAWL is made possible with generous support from the Huntsville Municipal Accommodation Tax Association, the Huntsville Downtown BIA, and community partners the Huntsville Art Society & Muskoka Unlimited.

  1. I would be interested in having a space to exhibit the Alma Rumball prints and DVD and t-shirts, but I don’t have a business venue to do that with. I’m open to any suggestions. I’d also like to screen the award-winning documentary ‘The Alma Drawings’ somewhere if desired.
