A Male And Female Have Died After A Boating Accident On Lake Rosseau

Members of the Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), are investigating a boating collision that occurred on Lake Rosseau in Muskoka Lakes Township.

On Friday, July 31, 2026, at approximately 10:40 p.m., officers responded to reports of a boating collision on Lake Rosseau.

On Saturday August 1, 2026, the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit (USRU) aided in the recovery of the bodies of the two missing persons. A 32-year-old male and a 30-year-old female, both from Toronto, were pronounced as deceased.
