The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a driver after investigating a suspicious vehicle complaint.
On Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 3:45 a.m., Bracebridge OPP officers responded to a report from a member of the public about a suspicious vehicle that had been stopped in a live lane on Sharpe Street near First Street South in Gravenhurst for an extended period of time. Officers attended and subsequently arrested and charged 46-year-old Stephanie Wilkes, of Gravenhurst, ON, with Operation while Impaired – Drug and operate a motor vehicle without insurance.
She will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on December 8, 2026 to answer to her charges.
