The Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) Auxiliary is thrilled to announce the winner of their latest Community 50/50 jackpot. Bryan Goruk of Utopia was delighted to accept a cheque for $606,952!
“We buy 50/50 tickets because RVH truly changed our lives,” says Bryan. “After I suffered a back injury, the incredible team at RVH quickly caught and diagnosed the problem. Thanks to their fast action, care, and expertise, I made a full recovery — and I can walk today because of them. RVH is the heart of Barrie and our surrounding communities. Supporting the 50/50 draw is our way of giving back, so RVH can continue to grow and help others the way it helped us.”
Proceeds from the community draw support the RVH Auxiliary’s $5-million pledge to the RVH Foundation’s Keep Life Wild Campaign, which helps the health centre enhance healthcare services across the region—including funding for a much-needed third MRI.
“Our heartfelt congratulations go out to Bryan,” says Lise McCourt, President of the RVH Auxiliary. “Bryan and his wife Amy have been purchasing tickets for the RVH Auxiliary 50/50 Draw since the very beginning. We deeply appreciate their continued support and are absolutely thrilled for them.”
The next grand prize draw takes place on September 25. In addition to the jackpot, $35,000 in early bird prizes will be awarded throughout the month, with draws happening every Thursday.
