The Orillia OPP have completed their investigation involving a threat at Orchard Park Public School on Tuesday May 31, 2022.
Police were present at the school throughout the day, following a threat made over social media. The Orillia OPP Crime Unit was engaged and through extensive investigation traced the IP address to a person in the United Kingdom. Police contacted INTERPOL, who assisted with locating the individual who sent the messages.
Police were in contact with school officials throughout the incident ensuring the safety of students and staff.
An individual in the United Kingdom has been identified and addressed by local police.
