Two Huntsville Residents Charged In Separate Impaired Driving Investigations

Huntsville OPP charged two individuals with impaired operation over the Easter long weekend.

On April 8, 2023 at 2:20 p.m. officers responded to a single vehicle collision (Pictured) on Aspdin Road, in Huntsville. Officers were led into an impaired driving investigation.

As a result, Francis Leason, 62-year-old from Huntsville has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·        Operate unsafe vehicle

·        Operate a motor vehicle without insurance

On April 10, 2023 after 11:30 p.m. on Main Street in Huntsville, a Huntsville OPP officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle.

As a result, Connor Pantaleo, 29-year-old from Huntsville has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused persons are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge, in May 2023. Their driver’s license was suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded for a period of 7 days.

The Huntsville OPP reminds motorists to plan ahead when consuming alcohol. Use a designated driver, cab, public transit or stay overnight. Any amount of alcohol or drugs can impact your ability to make sound judgements.
