Two Collisions In Algonquin Park To Tell You About

Killaloe OPP say they responded to two separate collisions recently in Algonquin Provincial Park.

On Tuesday, June 15, 2021 just before 4 p.m., police responded to a single vehicle collision on Highway 60, near the Lake of Two Rivers Café. The lone driver of an (SUV left the roadway striking several guard rails. The 69-year old driver from Etobicoke was taken to hospital by ambulance with minor injuries. The vehicle was towed. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.

On Monday, June 21, 2021, just after 9 a.m., police responded to a two vehicle collision involving two pick-up trucks on Highway 60, near Mew Lake Campground. Both westbound vehicles were towing trailers at the time of the collision. As a result of police investigation, a 55-year-old from Lindsay has been charged with Improper Left Turn. The defendant was issued a Provincial Offences Act notice. There were no reported injuries, and no tow was required.
