Two Charged After OPP Find Drugs And Weapons In Orillia

The Orillia OPP say they have arrested and charged two people with numerous offences, following the execution of a search warrant in the City of Orillia, as part of an ongoing investigation.

On February 17, 2022, members of the Community Street Crime Units (CSCU) from Orillia and Southern Georgian Bay, conducted a traffic stop and executed a search warrant on a home in the City in Orillia, with the assistance of the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), Canine Unit and Emergency Response Team (ERT).

Officers seized a quantity of methamphetamine and two imitation firearms.

As a result of the investigation, Dylan Cuppage, age 32 of Orillia, has been charged with:

  • Failure to Comply with Undertaking
  • Failure to Comply with Probation Order
  • Failure to Comply with Undertaking
  • Failure to Comply with Probation Order
  • Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance – Methamphetamine

The accused has been remanded into custody pending a bail hearing

In addition, Renee Weaver, age 46 of Orillia, has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance Methamphetamine

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia, on March 15, 2022.
