Town Of Bracebridge Significant Weather Event Update

0

Bracebridge continues to recover from the effects of the powerful winter storm that blanketed the town with snow. Public Works crews have been working 24 hours a day to maintain road operations since the storm began. As of late afternoon, December 25, all roads have been opened and crews are working diligently to clear all sidewalks in the coming days. Crews will continue to monitor conditions and do all they can to push back snowbanks and remove excess snow where necessary to ensure for proper visibility. The significant weather event will remain in effect until further notice.

The Town of Bracebridge extends their gratitude to the teams who have worked tirelessly during the holidays, taking time away from their own families to monitor and maintain operations during a very challenging weather event. Thank you for your dedication, professionalism and commitment.

Warmer temperatures are forecasted for the end of the week. As the forecast changes, residents are reminded to monitor their property for water as the snow melts. Remove any excess snow or debris from drains and roadways to allow water to flow and drain freely. For more information on flood safety and preparation, visit bracebridge.ca/emergencypreparedness.
