Southern Georgian Bay OPP say they responded to a call of a person in crisis outside an address on the 11th Concession of Tiny Township. At 7:14 p.m. December 7, 2022 attending officers were assisted by members of the OPP Central Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), Canine Unit, OPP Negotiators and a OPP Incident Commander.
At 2:15 a.m. on December 8th, 2022, a male was arrested and charged. The accused was safely transported from the involved residence.
As a result of the investigation Michael LACROIX, 34 years of Tiny Township was charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Adult Uttering Threats – Cause death or bodily harm
- Adult Mischief – destroys or damages property
The accused was held for a bail hearing on December 8, 2022 before the Ontario Court of Justice.
Investigators would like to advise this was an isolated incident and at no time was there a threat to public safety.
