A three vehicle crash near the intersection of Ellery Side Road and Highway 93, Tiny Township has resulted in the north and southbound lanes of Highway 93 being closed for investigation as of 7:30 a.m. June 5, 2023. All lanes have re-opened.
Officers from the Southern Georgian Bay OPP along with County of Simcoe Paramedic Services and Tiny Township Fire Services attended the scene in which three people have been transported to an area hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.
Charges Issued in Crash Investigation
A 28 year old Barrie male has been charged with three counts of Careless Driving Cause Bodily Harm contrary to the Highway Traffic Act as a result of the crash that sent the accused and three victims to hospital with serious injuries. The accused will appear before the Provincial Court of Justice on August 21, 2023 to face the charges.
Investigators wish to thank area residents and motorists alike for their patience today as the roadway was closed for almost eight hours for investigation.
