Haliburton Highlands OPP say they have charged three people with several offences after recovering multiple stolen vehicles.
On June 27, 2021, at 11:16 a.m., Haliburton Highlands OPP attended an address in Dysart et al Township in response to a reported assault. On arrival, police located three stolen vehicles on the property.
As a result of the investigation, three people have been charged.
Shaun Villanueva, 35 years old, of Toronto, has been charged with:
- Assault with a weapon – two counts
- Assault – three counts
- Forcible Confinement
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Uttering Threats – four counts
- Possession of a controlled substance
- Possession of property obtained by crime – three counts
- Mischief Under $5,000
- Failure to comply with a release order – two counts
The accused is being held in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled on July 2, 2021.
Jakob Hackson, 34 years old, of Dysart et al Township, has been charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime – three counts
- Failure to comply with a release order
Heather Mitchell, 34 years old, of Newmarket, has been charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime – three counts
- Failure to comply with a release order
The accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Minden, on August 4, 2021.
