A snowmobile operator sustained life‑altering injuries following a collision with a pickup truck in Tiny Township Saturday morning.
At approximately 9:42 a.m. on January 24, 2026, members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to the intersection of Concession 12 in Tiny Township and an Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) trail for a reported collision involving a snowmobile and a pickup truck.
Officers located a 50‑year‑old male from Tiny Township who had been operating the snowmobile and sustained serious injuries. Simcoe County Paramedic Services attended the scene and transported the individual to a local hospital before he was later transferred to a Toronto‑area hospital with life‑altering injuries.
The investigation is ongoing. The roadway and trail were closed for a period of time but have since reopened.
