A snowmobile operator suffered significant injuries after losing control of his vehicle late Friday evening.
On February 24, 2023, just after 11 p.m., Southern Georgian Bay OPP and Simcoe County Paramedics responded to a report of a snowmobile collision in the Lafontaine area. T
he 24-year-old operator of the machine was located at a nearby residence. He was transported to a local hospital however, as a result of his injuries, he was airlifted to a Toronto-area hospital by ORNGE Air Ambulance.
The investigation is ongoing, the collision occurred on OFSC trail # 303 approximately 1 km from Chemin Du Loup in Tiny Township. The scene is being examined by members of the OPP Central Region Technical Traffic Collision Investigation (TTCI) unit. No charges have been laid.
