A female victim gave chase after a male suspect had just stolen her purse and personal effects from her parked car on Midland Avenue, Midland at 6 p.m. May 28, 2023.
A nearby officer from the Southern Georgian Bay OPP was flagged down by the victim who provided the details of the incident to the officer who made an arrest in the area of Hugel Avenue and Bourgeois Lane.
Charged criminally with Theft Under $5,000 from a Motor Vehicle is Eric Alexander McCue 47 years of Severn Township.
He was released from custody to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on June 22, 2023.
