Severn Resident Charged With Impaired On Hwy. 400 In Oro-Medonte

The Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team of the OPP arrested and charged a driver with impaired operation related charges.

On June 4, 2023, shortly after 6 p.m., officers from The Central Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team of the OPP were assisting a tow operator on the 400 highway in the township of Oro-Medonte. Officers observed a vehicle travelling more than 50 km/h over the posted speed limit. The vehicle was stopped and officers entered into an impaired driving investigation.

As a result Kole Clement; 32 year-old, from Severn has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Driving motor vehicle with open liquor
  • Stunt driving
  • Drive motor vehicle without validated permit
  • Fail to comply with demand

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia, to answer to the charges on June 20, 2023. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and vehicle impounded for seven days.
