Severn Resident Charged With Impaired, Four Times The Legal Limit

The Orillia OPP have arrested and charged a resident with impaired driving following a traffic complaint in Severn Township.

On June 16, 2022, shortly before 10 p.m., officers on patrol located and stopped a possible impaired driver on Upper Big Chute Road in Severn Township. The driver was subsequently arrested and transported to the Orillia Detachment for further investigation. The driver registered a Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) of four times the legal limit.

As a result, Julie Dagger, 40 years of age, of Severn, has been charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear on July 12, 2022, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia. Her vehicle was impounded for seven days and she was issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS).
