OPP Search Warrant In Midland Results In Drug Charges

On the morning of February 29, 2024, a search warrant was executed by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) at a residence on William Street in the Town of Midland, which resulted in the seizure of Cocaine and other items.

Members of the Community Street Crime Units (CSCU) of the Southern Georgian Bay, Muskoka, Huronia West, Collingwood and Nottawasaga detachments, uniform members and Central Region Canine Unit were involved in the investigation.

Several people were arrested at the residence and during the search, a quantity of Cocaine, weapons and currency were seized.

As a result of the investigation, the following individuals were charged with offences contrary to the Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act:

Timothy David, 42 years of Midland:

  • Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000

Trevor Arthurs, 51 years of Midland:

  • Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking

The accused parties were transported to detachment and were released on an Undertaking to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Midland on March 28, 2024

At the scene, one other person was arrested and processed for offences involving other active cases.
