The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating a suspicious vehicle in the Township of Oro-Medonte.
On September 11, 2024, just after 9:00 a.m., officers from Orillia OPP responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Line 1 South in the Township of Oro-Medonte. The vehicle is described as an older green car. Police were advised the driver of the motor vehicle stopped the vehicle, got out and started to approach the youth in an aggressive manner. The driver is described as male, non white, approximately 30- 40 years old, approximately 5’6, slim build.
The investigation is on going. Orillia OPP and the Orillia Detachment Major Crime Unit are appealing to the public to assist with identifying the involved motor vehicle and driver. Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed this, may have dash cam footage or may have home security systems in the area to review it.
