OPP Find Three Firearms During RIDE Check On Hwy. 118

Members of the Haliburton Highlands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual as a result of a motor vehicle checked during a RIDE program.

On June 3, 2024 shortly after 11:30 pm, officers were conducting a RIDE program at the intersection of Highway 118 and Glamorgan Road. A vehicle was stopped which contained cannabis readily available to the driver. Further investigation by officers resulted in the seizure of three firearms.

As a result of investigation, Michael Green, 37 years old, of Bobcaygeon has been charged with:
· Unauthorized possession of a firearm
· Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Minden on August 7, 2024
