OPP Find Impaired Driver At A RIDE Check In Midland

The Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a driver with impaired operation in Midland.

On Tuesday, August 11, 2026, shortly after midnight, officers stopped a vehicle while conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) initiative on William Street. Following the initial investigation, the driver was transported to the Southern Georgian Bay OPP Detachment for further testing.

As a result, Connor Linale, 29 years old of King Township, was charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Dangerous operation

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Midland on Thursday, September 24, 2026.
